Boot to the Head
== FOREWORD ==
This is the second project for our GAME2501 Rapid Development class. It was made over the span of around 6 weeks.
== OVERVIEW ==
In the year of 2548, a girl is faced with a government that does not care about its people. How could they, when they were too busy developing technologies that would be used simply as a source of power? Amidst the chaos of society going to shambles while war robots were built, a group of rebels who named themselves as The Resistance came through to take care of the population.
Now a part of their group, the player must go on missions to infiltrate the government buildings and steal pieces of the technologies. Whatever gets stolen will be repurposed to make the people's lives better... as long as you can survive. How far can you jump, brave rebel?
“Boot to the Head” is a 3D, first-person action platforming game where the player must traverse levels and combat enemies using primarily kicking moves.
== CONTROLS ==
WASD - Movement
Spacebar - Jump, Wall Jump
Left Mouse Button - Kick (ground), Dive Kick (Air)
Right Mouse Button - Arm Projectile Toss
Esc - Pause Menu
== TIPS ==
Your kick functions differently depending on whether or not you're grounded.
While on the ground, the player will perform a kick that knocks back objects. While in the air, the player will divekick downwards. This can be used to bounce off of boxes, crates, and other kickable objects.
There's a small vertical thrust at the beginning of a divekick - use this to your advantage!
Hitting an enemy with your arm will stun them momentarily, allowing you to safely close the distance.
